At last some justice for Mikey and his family.
I was so pleased to hear the outcome of the inquest in December 2009, and hope that further action against the police may follow.

This is just so tragic it causes me great pain. I wish I could be there to offer support to the family.
This sort of thing is just so widespread worldwide and it really needs to stop.
May God guide and protect you all throughout the inquest into this young mans death.

i am so sorry for your loss we has a family know your pain has my beloved uncle mark hogg also died from injuries that he recived whiles being held in police custody , 24th years ago this month , we have never got justice for him, which makes it so much hard to get over the death of my father whiles being held in police custody in spain

Stand strong at this difficult time.
Judgement will come to the guilty who took this man from his family well before his time.

Such a disgrace that a vulnerable man could die in such a tragic and brutal manner. My heart goes out to his kids, family and friends.

This is awful what I read!! I really never thought this was such a huge problem. I will be going away to read more and find out how I can support such campaigns for justice.
My warmest wishes to dear Mikey and his family, especially his children.
In solidarity

Such a sad case like so many of the others that I have read about. My thoughts and prayers are with the family, especially the children who are now without a dad!
Peace to you all,
Gillian
This and other cases like it are just a disgrace in this day and age. I feel outraged that such killings are taking place in a so-called 'free and democratic' society.
My thoughts are with all the families affected like Mikey's. All strength to you all!
Love the site. Mikey will never be forgotten...2008 will see the tide turn and justice will come.
